We started to breed rabbits when we adopted two bucks from a breeder. Later that year we got another rabbit, this time it was a doe. We bred one of the bucks, which was then about a year old, with the doe. Their first litter was small, only producing one offspring. But some of the benefits of having a smaller litter include healthier and hardier rabbits. We started with our love for rabbits after we moved out to the country about six years ago. We got involved, and still are, with the 4-H community.
